Real-World Experience. Practical Guidance. A Heart to Help.
Hi, I’m Bill — a master electrician and small business owner with more than 47 years in the trades. Over those years, I’ve worn just about every hat you can imagine: contractor, business owner, developer, and electrical code board member. I know firsthand what it takes to start from scratch, keep a business alive through changing markets, and lead people with integrity.
When I started my own electrical contracting business decades ago, I made plenty of mistakes — mostly because I was trying to do everything myself. I didn’t know how to delegate, when to say no to bad jobs, or how to build a team I could trust. If I’d had a mentor back then, I could have avoided a lot of unnecessary stress and burnout. That’s exactly why I built this site — to be the mentor I wish I’d had.
Why I Created This Site
This site is for new and growing trade contractors — electricians, plumbers, HVAC professionals, and anyone who’s made the jump from working with their hands to running their own business.
Here, you’ll find guidance that’s rooted in real-world experience — not theory. I cover both the business side (pricing, management, delegation, finding good clients) and the technical side (systems, tools, and best practices that make daily work easier).
My goal is simple: to help you build a business that’s profitable, purpose-driven, and built to last.
What You’ll Learn Here
- How to start and structure your trade business the right way
- How to manage people and delegate effectively
- How to decide which jobs to take — and which ones to walk away from
- How to use modern tools and AI to run your business more efficiently
- How to grow with integrity and serve your community well
Whether you’re an electrician going out on your own or a small crew owner ready to scale, I want you to have the mentorship, tools, and encouragement you need to move forward confidently.
My Approach
I believe success in the trades comes down to three things:
Experience, wisdom, and purpose.
You already have the technical skills — now it’s time to build the systems, mindset, and leadership habits that turn your trade into a thriving business.
Everything I share here comes from hands-on experience. I don’t teach theory. I teach what I’ve lived — lessons learned from decades of working in the field, running crews, managing clients, and leading with faith and integrity.
Let’s Build Something That Lasts
I created this space to help you grow — not just in business, but as a leader, mentor, and person of purpose.
If you’re ready to learn how to run your trade business with more confidence, clarity, and balance, you’re in the right place.
Let’s get to work together.
